Job Description: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is seeking experienced Network Engineers to manage the National Knowledge Network (NKN) and other critical government IT infrastructures. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing secure network solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Infrastructure Design: Planning and deploying LAN, WAN, and wireless networks across government offices. • Configuration: Configuring and maintaining Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls. • Monitoring: Using tools like Wireshark or SolarWinds to monitor network traffic, bandwidth usage, and identify bottlenecks. • Security Implementation: Setting up VPNs, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and ensuring compliance with government cybersecurity guidelines. • Troubleshooting: diagnosing complex network connectivity issues and ensuring 99.9% network uptime for critical services.
