The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is looking for talented and innovative engineers to join its Data Processing and Computational Sciences division. This role focuses on harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to analyze vast amounts of data received from India's remote sensing and communication satellites. The selected candidate will work on developing cutting-edge deep learning models for satellite image processing, automated feature extraction, and predictive analytics. This is a unique opportunity to apply advanced data science techniques to mission-critical projects that impact agriculture, disaster management, and national security. Key Roles & Responsibilities: • ML Model Development: Designing and training Deep Learning (DL) and Machine Learning (ML) models for automated object detection, land-use classification, and cloud masking in high-resolution satellite imagery. • Big Data Processing: Developing efficient pipelines to process and analyze petabytes of multi-spectral and hyperspectral data received from satellites like Cartosat and RISAT. • Algorithm Optimization: Optimizing complex image processing algorithms to run efficiently on High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters and onboard satellite processing units. • Mission Support: Collaborating with remote sensing scientists to validate model outputs and generating actionable intelligence for disaster response (e.g., flood mapping) and resource monitoring.
