Job Description: State Bank of India (SBI) is inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers (POs). Key Responsibilities: • General Banking Administration: Gaining exposure to various banking functions such as loans, savings, foreign exchange, and treasury operations. • Customer Service: Handling customer queries, resolving grievances, and ensuring a high standard of service delivery at the branch level. • Credit Monitoring: Assessing loan applications, verifying documents, and monitoring the creditworthiness of borrowers to prevent Non-Performing Assets (NPAs). • Cross-Selling: Promoting various banking products like insurance, mutual funds, and credit cards to existing and new customers. • Branch Operations: supervising clerical staff, managing cash flow, and ensuring the smooth functioning of daily branch activities. Successful candidates will be trained in various departments to gain a holistic understanding of banking operations before being posted as Branch Managers or Assistant Managers.
