The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) invites applications from energetic and qualified Indian nationals for the position of Technical Assistant. This is a crucial support role where the selected candidates will work in various laboratories and establishments of DRDO across the country. Technical Assistants play a vital part in the design, development, testing, and evaluation of indigenous defense systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national security while working on cutting-edge technologies in fields such as electronics, mechanical engineering, computer science, and instrumentation. Key Roles & Responsibilities: • Lab Support & Maintenance: Assisting scientists and engineers in the daily operations of research laboratories, ensuring all equipment is calibrated, maintained, and functioning correctly. • Testing & Evaluation: Conducting routine tests on subsystems and components of missiles, radars, and communication systems under the supervision of senior technical officers. • Prototype Fabrication: Assisting in the fabrication and assembly of mechanical or electronic prototypes, including PCB soldering, mechanical fitting, and wiring. • Documentation & Reporting: Preparing technical reports, test procedure documents, and maintaining detailed logbooks of observations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
