The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is looking for an experienced and visionary leader to head its mobile application initiatives under the Digital India umbrella. This role involves driving the strategy, development, and deployment of citizen-centric mobile applications that bridge the digital divide. The ideal candidate will oversee the lifecycle of high-impact government apps (like UMANG, DigiLocker, etc.), ensuring they are secure, user-friendly, and accessible to the diverse population of India. You will collaborate with various government departments, technical teams, and industry partners to ensure seamless digital service delivery. Key Roles & Responsibilities: • Strategic Leadership: Defining the roadmap and strategy for new and existing mobile governance applications, ensuring alignment with the Digital India vision and seamless integration with backend government services. • Project Management & Delivery: Overseeing the end-to-end development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Acting as the primary liaison between government departments, technical development agencies, and private vendors to coordinate efforts and resolve technical bottlenecks. • Quality & Security Assurance: Establishing rigorous standards for app performance, user experience (UX/UI), and data security, ensuring compliance with government cybersecurity guidelines.
