Job Description: Karnataka State Police invites applications for the post of Sub-Inspector (Civil). The Sub-Inspector is the lowest ranking officer who can file a charge sheet in court and is usually the first investigating officer. This is a leadership role at the station level requiring integrity and courage. Responsibilities: • Investigation: Leading investigations into crimes, gathering evidence, interrogating suspects, and filing First Information Reports (FIRs). • Law & Order: Patrolling assigned jurisdictions to prevent crime, managing traffic during peak hours, and ensuring public safety during festivals or protests. • Station Management: Maintaining station records, managing constables and head constables, and ensuring the lock-up procedures are followed. • Court Duties: Appearing in court to provide testimony and evidence for cases under investigation. • Public Relations: acting as a bridge between the police force and the community to build trust and gather intelligence.
Age: 21-30 Years. Must be fluent in reading and writing Kannada. Physical endurance test (1600m run, Long Jump, High Jump) is mandatory.
